Omdurman
This is called "Gubbat al Mahdi". It is where Al Mahdi, the man who fought for Sudan's independence, was buried.
Omdurman is one of the cities that make up Khartoum, the capital.

Omdurman is a beautiful city that lies on the White Nile, opposite to Khartoum. It is a place of many important events in the history of Sudan and its independence.

Omdurman is also a center of many arts like
music, poetry and crafts. It was also a center of education and learning, especially for girls.

This is called a "tamboor" or "rababa". It is a musical instrument used widely in Sudan. Looks like a guitar, right?

When you go to "Soog" Omdurman, or the main marketplace, a man like this one can make beaded bracelets and necklaces while you wait!
Or if you go to the riverside, you can fish, sail, or
just have fun in the water.
This is a sailor on the White Nile in Omdurman, in the area of "Abu Rofe", where many people go to fish.
